Kazakhstan’s first White Paper on energy storage systems presented in Astana

On 28 May, Kazakhstan’s first White Paper titled “Application of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within the Unified Power System of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was officially presented in Astana.
The White Paper, developed by the Qazaq Green Renewable Energy Association in partnership with Huawei, offers a comprehensive analysis of global best practices in the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). It outlines the latest technological solutions, international standards, and provides actionable recommendations for the regulatory development of energy storage in Kazakhstan.
