In addition, 7 large thermal, solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 2.4 GW were connected to the grid. Through $14 billion of foreign investment, 31 power plants with a total capacity of 12 GW are being erected. This year, 2.6 GW of capacity is expected to be connected in Navoi, Bukhara, Namangan, Tashkent and Kashkadarya. In general, the share of green energy in generation will reach 30% this year.
“We are doing this to create decent life conditions for our people and ensure uninterrupted energy supply for the development of our industry. This has already become a good tradition in all provinces,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The president pressed a symbolic button and launched the construction of two complexes.

The second project is the construction of a solar power plant in the Farish district by the Chinese companies China Poly Group and China Electric. The $350 million 500 MW station is designed to generate 1.1 billion kWh of power annually. The first 200 MW are scheduled to be connected to the grid later this year.
More thermal, wind and solar power plants with a total capacity of 1.66 GW will be built in the Sharaf-Rashidov, Farish and Gallyaaral districts in the coming years.
