Chinese company plans to build 500 MW of solar and wind power plants in Tajikistan

QAZAQ GREEN. Dayu New Energy Limited plans to implement a project to build solar and wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 500 MW in the Kubodiyon and Jayhun districts of Tajikistan’s Khatlon Region. The project aims to promote renewable energy development and attract investment to the region, according to NIAT “Khovar.”
The company’s plans were discussed during a meeting between the Chairman of the Khatlon Region, Davlatali Said, and Dayu New Energy Limited CEO David Liu. The parties reviewed prospects for cooperation and the region’s investment potential.
David Liu noted that Dayu New Energy Limited has been operating in the renewable energy sector since 2018, specializing in the construction and operation of solar and wind power plants. The company is currently implementing wind energy projects in Georgia and Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, Davlatali Said expressed support for the initiative to build solar and wind power plants in the Khatlon Region.
