3 MW solar power plant built in Tajikistan

QAZAQ GREEN. Construction of a 3 MW solar photovoltaic plant capable of supplying electricity to up to 1,000 households has been completed in the settlement of Shurab in the town of Isfara, Sughd region, Tajikistan, Khovar.tj reported.
The project was implemented under a programme to develop renewable energy in Tajikistan, funded by a grant from the government of the Republic of Korea with the support of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). Hanmaum Energy Co., Ltd. was the client, and construction and installation were carried out by TGEM OJSC.
The plant covers 4 hectares and is equipped with 4,752 bifacial photovoltaic panels and 10 string inverters to convert and transmit the electricity generated. Its energy infrastructure includes a 0.8/35 kV packaged transformer substation with built-in step-up equipment totalling 4.5 MW, as well as a 500 kWh energy storage system.
The plant features a high level of automation. It is equipped with a remote monitoring and control system that allows key technological processes and operating parameters to be monitored without permanent on-site staff.
The plant is expected to improve the reliability of the region’s power supply, diversify electricity generation sources and expand the use of clean technologies.
