China's Sinoma EC International to build 300 MW Solar Power Plant in Uzbekistan
QAZAQ GREEN. China's Sinoma EC International will build a 300-megawatt solar power plant and 75-megawatt energy storage systems in Uzbekistan's Navoi region, Podrobno.uz reports.
The Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan announced the signing of an investment agreement for the construction of the solar power plant in the Karmana district of the Navoi region. The signing ceremony was attended by the head of the ministry, Laziz Kudratov, and the General Director of Sinoma EC International Investment Co., Ltd., Zuo Daun.
The launch of this project marks another significant step towards achieving the goals of the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy, which aims to increase renewable energy capacity to 25,000 megawatts and its share in the country's total energy consumption to 40%.
Sinoma EC International Investment Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Sinoma Energy Conservation Co., Ltd., established in 1987. The company has a capitalization of $600 billion and employs 2,000 staff. It specializes in constructing WHR power plants using waste heat from industrial facilities, as well as solar, geothermal, and bioenergy power plants. Its portfolio includes over 1,000 completed projects worldwide.
