Renewable output in Uzbekistan hits 10 TWh

QAZAQ GREEN.  Uzbekistan’s solar and wind power plants generated 10 TWh of electricity in 2025 as of 17:00 on 8 December. The figures were released shortly after the president emphasized the strategic role of clean energy at the conference “Sustainable Energy — a Reliable Step of New Uzbekistan into the Future”.

The combined installed capacity of operating solar and wind facilities now stands at 5,582 MW. Renewable generation has enabled savings of 2.7 bcm of natural gas and prevented 4.4 million tonnes of atmospheric emissions.

Total output from hydro, solar and wind plants from the start of the year through 17:00 on 8 December reached 16 TWh, equivalent to the annual consumption of 6.6 million households.
