Turkmenistan and UAE agree on renewal of partnership in RES
QAZAQ GREEN. On September 7, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B. Myatiev met at the MFA of Turkmenistan with the authorities of the Masdar company of the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, issues of further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the energy sector were discussed. In particular, the prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE were discussed in order to expand cooperation in the field of rational use of renewable energy sources and ensure energy security.
A desire was expressed to intensify cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Renewable Energy Agency - IRENA, headquartered in Masdar, UAE. Turkmenistan expressed its readiness, within the framework of partnership with IRENA, to hold international scientific conferences and other events, as well as to become a place for the development and testing of alternative energy technologies that can be used in the countries of Central Asia.
