New wind power plant to be built in Baku
QAZAQ GREEN. The Republic of Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has designated certain parcels of land within the administrative boundaries of the Garadagh and Absheron districts in Baku city, which are owned by the state and municipality, as zones for renewable energy sources, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a new decision in this regard, Report informs.
According to the decision, the specified land area has been designated for renewable energy utilization, aimed at constructing a wind power plant with a capacity of 240 megawatts.
The supervision of the implementation of this Decision was entrusted to the Department of Agriculture and Ecology of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers.
