Tokayev receives Glencore CEO
Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Glencore CEO Gary Nagle, Qazaq Green reports citing the presidential press office.
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Gary Nagle, CEO of Glencore, one of the world's biggest commodities trading company," the report says.
During the meeting they discussed major issues of decarbonization of the economy, certain aspects of the company's activities in the mining and metallurgical and energy sectors of Kazakhstan.
Tokayev stressed the importance of compliance with environmental standards and the introduction of advanced technologies in production.
Glencore CEO informed the President of the results of Glencore's work in Kazakhstan and of its plans for the forthcoming period.
