Energy Ministry announces auctions for construction of RES plants in Kazakhstan

QAZAQ GREEN.  The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has invited all interested parties to participate in auctions for the selection of projects for the construction of renewable energy facilities in 2022.

In accordance with the Rules for Organising and Conducting Auctions (approved by Order No. 466 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 21 December 2017), the auction schedule for 2022 is published on the official website of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/energo/documents/details/326797?lang=ru).

The total installed capacity of the auctioned facilities in 2022 is 690 MW:

- solar power plants (SPPs) - 60 MW;

- wind power plants (WPPs) - 400 MW, of which: 150 MW with documentation;

- hydro power plants (HPPs) - 220 MW;

- biogas power plants (BioPP) - 10 MW.

The interested parties can request explanations on the official websites of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Financial Settlement Center of Renewable Energy (http://www.rfc.kegoc.kz/) and KOREM JSC (Kazakhstan Electricity and Power Market Operator - http://www.korem.kz/) or participate in explanatory seminars and webinars.
