Wind power plant commissioned in Zhambyl region
QAZAQ GREEN. 15 turbines, each 75 metres tall, installed in the new wind farm in the Talas district of the Zhambyl region, Khabar 24 reports.
Some of them are still being commissioned.
The capacity of the renewable energy facility is 4.5 megawatts. The generated electricity goes to the general distribution network. The wind farm employs six people. There are plans to expand the facility and install additional turbines. A total of 18 RES facilities are in operation in the region, with a capacity of 450 Megawatts. This accounts for 20% of all alternative energy facilities in the country.
"Pre-commissioning work is underway with subsequent commissioning. Power is generating," says electrician Yevgeniy Ni.
"By the end of the year, three types of the power plant will be launched. Each plant will create jobs for each 5-10 people. Tax revenues from each will be 70-80 million tenge a year," said Audanbek Tausarov, head of the Talas District Entrepreneurship Department.
