Major solar facility in Southern Russia integrates heritage protection

QAZAQ GREEN. A solar power complex consisting of nine plants with a total capacity of 44.1 MW has been commissioned in the Seversky District of Russia’s Krasnodar Region. The project was developed by the Hevel Group, with investments amounting to 6 billion rubles.
The 235,000-m² site includes nine inverter stations, nearly 560 km of cable lines, and about 134,000 domestically produced photovoltaic modules. Annual output is expected to reach around 54 million kWh.
The project combines advanced renewable technologies with the preservation of historical heritage. Three archaeological sites — two ancient settlements and a burial mound — are located within the complex. A 50-meter protective zone has been established to safeguard them, under agreements with the regional heritage protection authority.
