May 4, 2022, the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany conducted a joint meeting of the working group in energy dialogue "Kazakhstan-Germany", Qazaq Green reports citing the press office of the Ministry of Energy.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany, noted the relevance of the development of the energy sector of the two countries.

"The parties focused on inter-sectoral energy efficiency, hydrogen energy, and development of the renewable energy sector," the press office of the Ministry of Energy said.

The representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Electricity and Power Market Operator JSC, Institute of Electric Power and Energy Saving Development JSC and RSE Institute of Nuclear Physics participated in the meeting.

The parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation in development of promising areas of the energy industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Remind that, in 2019, Kazakhstan and Germany signed a memorandum "On Strategic Partnership in the Field of Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement" to stimulate long-term cooperation under the sectoral Road Map on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Improvement of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026.
