Almaty to host PowerTech 2025 – a Conference on Decarbonisation and Renewable Energy

QAZAQ GREEN. From 2 to 4 April 2025, Almaty will host PowerTech 2025, the Central Asian Conference and Exhibition on Decarbonisation and Renewable Energy. The event, taking place at the Atakent Centre for Business Cooperation, will bring together representatives from public and private sectors, as well as experts in green technologies.
As part of the conference, Kazakhstan will introduce the digital platform of the Central Asian Bureau of Best Available Technologies (BAT). Developed by the International Centre for Green Technology and Investment Projects, the platform is designed to facilitate the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and minimise environmental impact in Central Asia.
The exhibition will highlight key features of the platform, including industry analytics, directories, and up-to-date information on best available techniques (BAT) approved by the Government of Kazakhstan.
PowerTech 2025 will feature three specialised sections:
- Renewable Energy Expo – focused on renewable energy sources,
- PowerTech Expo – showcasing energy technologies,
- Energy Save Expo – dedicated to energy efficiency solutions.
Companies from Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, Austria, Oman, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Russia have confirmed their participation, with negotiations ongoing with other countries.
The exhibition will showcase cutting-edge energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, attracting over 100 companies, 250 experts, and 5,000 professionals.
