QAZAQ GREEN.  The Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum will take place on September 25 at Koktobe Hall in Almaty, bringing together more than 600 delegates, including executives from leading Chinese corporations, representatives of Kazakh businesses, government agencies, and development institutions.

The forum is organized by NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC with the support of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The agenda will focus on the development of new transport and logistics corridors, industrial cooperation and deep processing, as well as integration in the digital economy and finance sectors.

Around 45 commercial documents are expected to be exchanged during the event. The program will also include an exhibition and B2B matchmaking meetings.

Projects to be presented at the forum include the localization of automotive manufacturing involving OMODA, JAECOO and Li Auto, the development of infrastructure at Kuryk Port, the construction of a smart logistics park within the Khorgos Special Economic Zone, and the Xinfa coal-chemical complex.

Another project is the construction in Almaty of UBTECH’s first humanoid robot manufacturing plant outside China.

In addition, Kazakhstan and companies BeOne and INKAR plan to begin work on localizing the production of oncology drugs.

The forum comes amid growing trade and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. Last year, bilateral trade reached $48.7 billion, while direct investment from China amounted to $2.8 billion, an all-time high.
