QAZAQ GREEN. To promote renewable energy development, a 20 MW solar power plant will be built in Mangistau district, according to the official website of Mangistau region.
The project, initiated near the Caspi Cement company’s production facility in Shetpe village, aims to enhance the region’s energy independence while generating environmentally friendly electricity.

According to the company's management, 5.678 billion tenge has been allocated for the project, which has just entered the construction phase and is expected to be completed by June. The district akim emphasized that this investment initiative will provide significant benefits to the country.
"The head of state has instructed us to attract investment in key areas of regional development. With the support of the regional akim, the solar power plant project has been launched. Many countries today face electricity shortages. Considering the potential for creating new jobs, I believe this is one of the most essential investment projects," said Galymzhan Niyazov.
During the construction phase, 100 local residents will be employed, and once the plant reaches full capacity, it will provide 10 permanent jobs. This project will create new employment opportunities for the local community and contribute to the growth of the region's green economy.
