Kazakhstan sets maximum electricity tariffs for 2026–2032

QAZAQ GREEN. On 24 December 2025, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed an order approving maximum electricity tariffs for the period from 2026 to 2032, Zakon.kz reports.
Maximum tariffs were approved for 66 tariff groups, with the exception of groups 30, 54 and 55.
For the entire seven-year period, the tariffs are set as follows:
- Group 1 (Ekibastuz GRES-1 named after B. Nurzhanov): 9.50 KZT per kWh
- Group 2 (Eurasian Energy Corporation): 9.40 KZT per kWh
- Group 3 (Ekibastuz GRES-2): 15.67 KZT per kWh
- Group 4 (Topar Main Power Station): 20.84 KZT per kWh
- Group 5 (Zhambyl GRES named after T. I. Baturov): 23.25 KZT per kWh (previously 22.58 KZT)
- Group 6 (Karaganda Energy Centre): 17.64 KZT per kWh
- Group 7 (Ust-Kamenogorsk Thermal Power Plant): 17.82 KZT per kWh
- Group 8 (Sevkazenergo): 23.17 KZT per kWh
- Group 9 (Astana-Energia JSC): 11.71 KZT per kWh
- Group 10 (Pavlodarenergo, CHP-2 and CHP-3): 24.29 KZT per kWh
- Group 12 (Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC): 8.52 KZT per kWh
- Group 13 (Kazakhmys Energy, ZhTETS and BTETS): 30.24 KZT per kWh
- Group 16 (Bassel Group LLP): 25.48 KZT per kWh
- Group 18 (Stepnogorsk CHP): 38.67 KZT per kWh
- Group 22 (Kentau Service State Enterprise): 37.12 KZT per kWh
- Group 23 (Arkalyk TEK State Enterprise): 13.13 KZT per kWh
- Group 26 (Almaty Power Plants: TPP-1, TPP-2, TPP-3, Kapshagai HPP, Cascade of HPPs): 20.93 KZT per kWh
The full list of approved tariffs is contained in the ministerial order, which enters into force on 1 January 2026.
The approved maximum tariffs remain unchanged compared with 2025.
