QAZAQ GREEN. Official Opening Ceremony of RES 2026 EXPO and Signing of Key International Agreements in the Field of Green Economy and Climate Investments on April 22, 2026, at 15:30, the main stage of the EXPO International Exhibition Center will host the official opening ceremony of RES 2026 EXPO, the largest platform in Central Asia for green technologies, investment, and sustainable development.

The ceremony will be the central event of the first day of the exhibition and will bring together representatives of government bodies, international organizations, businesses, and the investment community.

The event will be attended by the Ministers of Environment of the Central Asian countries, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Antonello De Riu, as well as Green Climate Fund Regional Director for Eastern Europe Thomas Eriksson.

A key highlight of the ceremony will be the signing of several important international agreements aimed at advancing the green economy, attracting investment, and strengthening regional cooperation.

Among them is a memorandum between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of the Italian Republic. The document lays the foundation for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of ecology and climate change, the introduction of green technologies, the sustainable management of natural resources, as well as the promotion of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions.

The platform will enable the systematic development and support of priority national projects in the energy and climate transition sectors, bringing together government bodies, development banks, and private investors, while also reducing barriers to attracting climate finance.

Another segment of the ceremony will focus on investment agreements, with the participation of the Chairman of the Management Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, aimed at financing major industrial and green projects.

Strategic documents will also be signed with the participation of KazMunayGas and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including initiatives in the energy sector and the development of renewable energy sources. Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akkenzhenov will also take part in the ceremony.

The signed agreements are expected to become an important step in strengthening international partnership, implementing investment projects, and promoting sustainable development in the region.

RES 2026 EXPO will take place from April 22 to 24, 2026, bringing together more than 300 companies from 30 countries, over 1,500 delegates, and more than 20,000 visitors.
