Registration now open for the International Online Seminar on Electric Power Sector Decarbonization

QAZAQ GREEN. On September 11, 2024, Qazaq Green RES Association and Renewable energy source department of Gubkin University is organizing the 1st International Online Seminar "Decarbonization of the Power Sector in the Context of Renewable Energy Integration and Balancing".
The seminar on renewable energy integration and balancing will address several key topics. A crucial report will highlight the importance of forecasting renewable energy sources for the transition to sustainable energy systems. Participants will explore advanced methods and tools for forecasting renewable energy, as well as the role of forecasting electricity consumption in optimizing the integration of these sources. Additionally, an interactive session will focus on demand management strategies to ensure efficient electricity consumption.
The seminar will also cover balancing within the framework of "smart energy," including discussions on the "Internet of energy" concept, the use of microgrids and distributed generation, and the modernization of energy markets.
Finally, the seminar will delve into hydrogen technologies and energy storage systems (ESS), with a particular emphasis on a pilot project for ESS at renewable energy facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the conference is to exchange experiences and practices in the field of forecasting renewable energy sources, balancing energy systems, managing the demand for electricity and the application of the latest technologies, such as hydrogen technologies and energy storage systems (ESS).
