Janta Power raises $5.5 million to scale 3D solar tower technology

QAZAQ GREEN. Janta Power, a Dallas-based developer of three-dimensional solar tower systems, has raised $5.5 million in seed funding to expand deployment of its high-efficiency renewable energy technology. The round was led by MaC Venture Capital with participation from Collab Capital.
The funds will be used to scale production and implement Janta’s patented 3D photovoltaic towers at airports, data centers, electric vehicle charging sites, and other energy-intensive facilities.
According to the company, its vertical tower design produces up to 50% more energy than traditional solar panels while requiring only one-third of the land area. The system captures morning and evening sunlight through stacked vertical modules, delivering a more balanced power output throughout the day and reducing stress on the electrical grid.
Pilot projects are already underway at several major international airports, including Munich, Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), and Spain’s Aena network.
Janta Power reports that its technology can achieve a Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) as low as $0.05 per kWh—significantly below the global average of $0.15. The company plans to further reduce costs as production scales and deployment expands.
Janta’s solar towers are built from modular steel components, designed to withstand hurricane-level winds, and supported by adaptive control software to optimize shading and energy yield.
Founded in Dallas, Janta Power aims to redefine solar generation density and efficiency, helping industries and infrastructure transition to sustainable power with minimal land use.
