Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabian govts signed agreement on WPP construction

QAZAQ GREEN. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Akorda reports.
During the meeting they discussed the prospects of energy and investment co-operation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed Abunayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi company ACWA Power, who took part in the meeting, spoke about the prospects of a joint investment project to construct a wind farm with a capacity of 1 GW in the Zhetysu region, as well as plans for cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of green energy.
Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the implementation of a joint project to construct the wind farm.
