Kyrgyzstan and China sign investment agreements for 600 MW wind and solar power projects

QAZAQ GREEN. On February 5, Kyrgyzstan and China signed investment agreements in the energy sector during a ceremony in Beijing. The agreements were formalized as part of the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to the People's Republic of China, according to the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.
Under the agreements, two major renewable energy projects will be developed in Kyrgyzstan: a 300 MW wind farm and a 300 MW solar power plant. The deals were signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Chinese energy company Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd.
Kyrgyz Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibrayev and Shenzhen Energy Vice President Li Zhuoge signed the documents on behalf of their respective parties.
This partnership marks a significant step in advancing Kyrgyzstan’s renewable energy sector, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening the country’s energy security.
Shenzhen Energy is one of the largest power producers in Shenzhen and a key investor in energy infrastructure. The company develops and operates both traditional and renewable energy projects and invests in initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency.
