Solar panels make sports complex in Kyrgyzstan energy-efficient

QAZAQ GREEN. The Dolen Sports Complex, located in the city of Cholpon-Ata in the Issyk-Kul region, has demonstrated significant results in energy conservation. Thanks to the installation of solar panels, the facility has been able to reduce its electricity consumption by more than 2.8 times, Akchabar reported.
Comparative figures confirm the effectiveness of the innovation: while in June 2024, electricity consumption from the Kyrgyz National Electric Grid was 139,990 kWh, in June 2025 it was 49,369 kWh. The savings for one month amounted to 90,621 kWh.
The Dolen sports complex is unique in that it has swimming pools and halls for training and coaching swimmers and athletes. Heating water and ensuring comfortable training conditions require significant energy consumption, so the introduction of alternative energy sources for the complex was a key step towards optimising costs and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
The use of solar panels at Dolen not only saves electricity but also makes a real contribution to the development of green energy in Kyrgyzstan. This step helps to reduce the load on the power grid and supports government initiatives to introduce green technologies.
