Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and Guido Brusco discussed successes and potential energy projects with Eni

QAZAQ GREEN. Kassym Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, met with Guido Brusco, Eni's Chief Operating Officer, as reported by the Akorda press service.
Their discussion delved into the outcomes of the collaborative efforts between Kazakhstan and Eni over the past year, exploring the potential for ongoing interaction.
In 2023, the CPC pipeline set a historic record by transporting 63.5 million tonnes of oil. The collective oil production from the Kashagan and Karachaganak fields reached an impressive 30.8 million tonnes.
According to the President, the achievement of such results became possible due to the efforts of the Government of Kazakhstan and all consortium participants, including Eni.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev commended the initiatives realized in the Aktobe and Turkestan regions, specifically the construction of wind and solar power plants with a combined capacity of 150 MW.
Tokayev was also briefed on the Italian company's intentions to build a gas processing plant, a hybrid power plant with a capacity of 250 MW in Mangistau region and production of vegetable oil for further processing into biodiesel.
