Energy Ministry: Kazakhstan to commission nine renewable projects in 2025

QAZAQ GREEN. In 2025, Kazakhstan plans to commission nine additional renewable energy projects, totaling 455.5 MW in capacity. This initiative, announced by Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev during the Ministry's annual meeting on the 2024 outcomes and 2025 objectives.
According to the minister, in 2025, it is planned to put into operation nine more renewable projects with a total capacity of 455.5 MW. This will significantly increase the share of green energy in the country's energy balance and reduce the carbon footprint.
In 2024, renewable energy sources accounted for 6.4% of Kazakhstan's total electricity generation, producing 7.58 billion kWh. During that year, eight new projects with a combined capacity of 163 MW were commissioned.
