Almassadam Satkaliyev Appointed Head of Kazakhstan's Atomic Energy Agency

QAZAQ GREEN. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Almassadam Satkaliyev as the head of the newly established Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Agency, Akorda reports.
"By the decree of the Head of State, Almassadam Maidanovich Satkaliyev has been appointed Chairman of the Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Agency. He has been relieved of his previous position," Akorda's Telegram channel stated.
Born in 1970 in Almaty, Satkaliyev holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Al-Farabi Kazakh State University. He also earned a Master’s in Economics from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, an MBA for Executives from the Graduate School of Business at Nazarbayev University, and completed an Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2016.
Throughout his career, he has held key positions at KazTransOil JSC, KEGOC JSC, Samruk JSC, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Samruk-Energo JSC, and KAZENERGY ZTB. In 2007, he served as Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan.
From April 4, 2023, until his new appointment, Satkaliyev held the position of Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
